White and black skin cancer, actinic keratoses

The cancer that affects most patients in Germany is skin cancer.

In every case of skin cancer, comprehensive therapy is necessary. Early diagnosis and surgical removal of the skin change are particularly important for the further course of diseases such as skin cancer.

The most common causes of skin cancer are:

  • the individual skin type
  • the individual genetic load
  • sun exposure

Actinic keratoses

The term actinic keratoses describes skin cells damaged by UV rays - if they are not treated medically, in some cases they develop into white skin cancer.

Risk factors are here:

  • light skin
  • frequent sunburns
  • frequent use of solariums

If you have actinic keratoses, which can change to white skin cancer in the long term, there is the option of treatment with special medicinal creams. In addition, the so-called photodynamic therapy also offers an excellent modern treatment option. There is also the option of using ablative procedures, for example with the support of a laser or curette.
