Injection lipolysis (fat-away injection)

Injection lipolysis is a minimally invasive method for treating problem areas such as the double chin, fat deposits in the area of the jaw line, inner thighs, fat deposits on the hips, upper arms and abdomen, which cannot be eliminated despite exercising and changing your diet. The “fat-away-syringe” is particularly suitable for smaller fat deposits and for the facial region.

The treatment should be repeated two to three times at a four-week interval.

Injection lipolysis: what is it?

By injecting the active ingredient combination of phosphatidylcholine (PPC) and deoxycholic acid (DOC) the fat deposits can be effectively dissolved. Instead of the medical term injection lipolysis, the more everyday term "fat-away-syringe" has established itself with increasing awareness and press attention.

The active ingredient phosphatidylcholine is a natural substance and has been use to remove fat deposits for almost 30 years, especially in South America, where the procedure is very popular.

Numerous patients around the world are currently being treated with the "fat-away-injection", and with great success. We ensure that the procedure is carried out safely at all times.

Injection lipolysis: How does it work?

After the active ingredient phosphatidylcholine has been injected into the fatty tissue, the fat cells dissolve around the injection. The dissolved fat is later excreted through the intestines, before it is partially metabolized in the liver.

The fat-away-syringe is ideal for smaller areas of fat, such as a double chin or so called hamster cheeks, but it can also be used to remove lipomas and thus fore prevent surgical treatments.

Talk to us about your individual desire for fat reduction and we will give you expert advice on whether injection lipolysis is the right choice for you.

Injection lipolysis: How it is performed

The active substance is injected directly into the fatty tissue. With simultaneous cooling, the process is carried out as painlessly as possible. After the treatment, the material is evenly distributed with a gentle massage using ultrasound and cooling gel.

It is advisable to split the treatment into several sessions. That is why we recommend between two and four appointments in-between intervals of four to six weeks, depending on the individual size of the fatty tissue which needs to be treated.

Injection lipolysis: After the treatment

After the treatment the affected area can be swollen, red or even slightly inflamed. This reaction shows, that the fatty tissue is actively being broken down. Bruising, as well as some pain, comparable to sore muscles in the injected area can also occur. However, these side effects disappear after a few days.

You will gradually see the success of your injection lipolysis: it can be optimally documented if you measure the circumference of the area before and after the treatment. This way you will be able to see how the volume of the fatty tissue has effectively been reduced by the injection.

The treatment is suitable for the following body zones:

  • double chin
  • fat pads in the area of the jaw line
  • inner thighs
  • stomach
  • fat pads on the hips
